Introduction to Drone Technology

This teacher resource helps the teacher to introduce ‘Drones’. It gives a brief history as well as detail applications about how they are currently used in different fields (e.g. Search and rescue, Scientific Research, Disaster relief, Agriculture, Sports etc.). The PPT introduces the topic using links to few video clips as well as class activity description for the unit of work. At the end of the PPT there is the task for students to look at the functionality of a drone which is in use currently and to modify it to fulfil another area in need to make this world a better place. An example of how to achieve this is also given and outline for concept folio.
