Students use the cut-out shapes to help them determine the correct chemical formula for ionic compounds.
Includes 59 of the most common monatomic and polyatomic ions.
Tip: Get student volunteers to do the cutting out for you ;-)
This resource is aligned to the Australian Year 9 Chemistry curriculum, but would be useful for other curriculums as well.

Thank you so much, you saved me a lot of time. Its great resource to help students who are struggling with the concept. Much more fun than just completing a worksheet. The only thing that would make this better would be some work of worksheet that the students can fill out. Maybe some sort of table with, CATION, ANION, NAME OF COMPOUND, CHEMICAL COMPOUND. But I can make that myself haha just thought others might also like it.
Thanks for this will save me a lot of time and ideal for my lower sets and pupils struggling with the concept.
