A complete set of lesson plans and resources to effectively deliver interesting and engaging Geography lessons.

Approximately 5 1/2 hours teaching time!

During this unit the children will learn the definition of climate and the location of 4 different climate zones around the world. They will then learn what vegetation is and what it needs to survive. They will use this knowledge to label the key characteristics of a tree. Following this, they will begin to connect characteristics of vegetation to climate zones and be able to link types of vegetation to different climate zones. They will add to this skills by then using a key to locate both climate zones and types of vegetation onto a world map. The children will finish the unit by creating their own plant and labelling it.
