In this lesson we examine the Bristol Bus Boycott of 1963.

Attached is a short video from Vernon Samuels, the son of Norman Samuels - the first black man to drive a bus after the colour bar was removed. What follows are quick comprehension questions, discussion points for you and your group to go through and some extended writing activities at the end. I have also attached a wordsearch for your students to complete, featuring many of the key words and concepts covered in this lesson (answer key included).
