This is an assessment I planned for a unit of work on suffering for KS3 (please see lessons for this in my TES shop).

The assessment contains differentiated questions based on the following:

1. Different kinds of suffering (natural and moral evil mentioned in here).
2. How suffering is dealt with in Christianity (Charity, golden rule and Good Samaritan).
3. How suffering is dealt with in Buddhism.

This assessment would last 2 lessons as I have included 'planning sheets' for all pupils. These sheets are differentiated for the lower, middle and higher ability students and this is done in a 'chili challenge' style.

The question sheet doubles up as a marking grid and I highlight strengths and targets to help the students complete follow up work and DIRT time.
