Unit of work focused on the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain.
- Designed as a bridging activity for students going from GCSE to A Level (but pitched at high ability students) but could be used at A Level as well.
- This could be used for independent home learning/classroom teaching and could be split as following:
- 3 sessions (buildings, architect, location/history).
Activities include:
- Comprehension about the buildings
- Gap fill about facilities
- Comprehension of TripAdvisor reviews
- Translation about Santiago Calatrava
- Tangled translation about La Gran Riada
- Verbs gap fill about el Jardín del Turia
NB: For some reason the video for the interview with Calatrava displays the wrong video - despite attempts to amend with the correct link. I have put the correct link into the “Notes” part of that slide.
