A resource to designed to meet the needs of the 7132 Alevel Business AQA specification; Section 2.1: Management and Leadership.
The resource contains a 28 slide PowerPoint driven by visuals, to which I have added my delivery notes along the bottom including links to media and when activities are undertaken.
The content was delivered over two one hour lessons and includes;
A discussion of what a manager is/does
How managers and leaders differ
Bennis Leadership Traits activities
Leadership profiling based on trait theory
The main leadership styles (Autocratic to Laissez-faire)
The Tannenbaum-Schmidt Continuum
The Blake Mouton Grid
Included in the resources here are a ppt (including printable resource slides); a five page key notes hand-out with space for notes (I have never been a fan of getting students copying from the board); and a Blake-Mouton questionnaire for students to identify where they are on the grid.
