Great lecture aimed at undergraduate level students taking English Literature and focusing on the work of Jhumpa Lahiri. Useful for postcolonial literature modules, esp. discussions on hybridity.

I really appreciated how accessible this made the topic of immigration and politics in this novel, which was assigned in one of my modules!

I enjoyed reading 'The Namesake' and this resource is fantastic. Bhabha's theories of hybridity are explained really clearly. I also liked how this essay makes the novel relevant by relating the theme of immigration to politics in America today.
