Les pays et les îles - 'à, au, en' ou 'aux' (Countries and islands)

This worksheet deals with the 4 different prepositions used before countries, islands and resorts (a selection of 70 in total). It explains when to use ‘au’, ‘en’ and ‘aux’ for masculine, feminine countries, along with those that begin with a vowel and those classed as plural. It also covers the different prepositions used with a range of common islands and resorts. There is one translation exercise in which the students are required to translate the country/island/resort correctly (English to French) together with the required preposition.
