Directions: Information can be gathered for many purposes, including completion of schoolwork, assignments for a job, and even for fun. Information comes in many forms, not just as a written text. Graphs, maps, and charts, for example. Present information in a visual form

Here is how you do it:
1. Read the title and identify the broad subject matter of the information presented in the visual

2. Note how the information is organized

3. Read the headlining(s) and any other labels. These will provide more details on the subject of the visual.

4. Make inferences by comparing and contrasting the information in the visual

5. Try to draw conclusions from the information in the visual and the inferences you have made

6. Read the questions, and then study the visual again
