Malevich in his quotes - the Russian artist on his painting art and the art-movement Suprematism which was initiated by him in Russia - free resource for students, pupils, art-lovers and teachers in Russian art history

.
In his artist quotes the Russian painter Malevich emphasizes the necessity to find and create forms which express the general human feelings / sensations. To explain this he used the example of the airplane, as an expression of the experience of speed and not meant at all to transport goods!

Malevich started as beginning artist already painting in a late-Impressionism painting style. He developed this soon into a radical abstract Constructivism art.
In 1915 already Malevich published in Russia his famous art manifesto ‘From Cubism to Suprematism’. Italian Futurism inspired him, as well as French Cubism; both art-movements he used as an inspiration, and combined them in his own art option: Suprematism.
Later in his life Malevich turned back to an almost classical painting style.
