Managing Exam Stress

This is a 45 minute to one hour lesson focusing on strategies to manage exam stress. It contains activities to identify why students feel stress or worry during the exam period and strategies to overcome these. It is a universal guide and not specific to any subject so it can be used in any lesson. There is also an activity for students to create their own personalised revision guide that will help them to manage their own stresses relating to exams. Also included is a ‘coping with exam stress’ pdf published online by the University of the West of Scotland - this contains practical strategies to overcome exam stress and can be printed so students can take it away with them.
