March Book One
March Book One tells of the events that shaped Congressman John Lewis’
life and his struggle against injustice in United States history. Book One
describes the leaders and events that inspired John Lewis to take action for
Civil Rights. This is a graphic historical novel. Graphic novels empower
the struggling readers. This particular novel grabs students’ attention
because it is true. John Lewis continues to live and is a powerful voice in
our present history. It is a must read for Middle School students so that
they can find their voices and work towards a peaceful, equitable existence
in their own lives. John Lewis will inspire students. In addition, students
will use strategic comprehension skills and critical thinking as they read this
compelling story. (There are two sequels I will be creating units for to
continue John Lewis’ true stories).
Save for later
