Children return to the materials the Romans used – metal for weapons, clay for pots, cloth for clothes, etc. They think about the changes we can make to these materials (burning, wetting, etc.) and identify each change as reversible or irreversible.

Suitable for years 3 and 4.

The web link takes you to Hamilton Trust. You will have to register in order to have access to a wide rangre of resources. The lesson plans provided a very thorough and they provide an opportunity to develop exciting classroom activities with a very simple record sheet.
