LO: to practise word problems
A differentiated resource, stars are at the top of each card to show complexity, 3 stars for a two step problem. Each card features a superhero and their quest. The word problems are addition and subtraction. There is also a sheet to complete - one point for correct answer, 2 points for correct number sentence.
This resource was designed for my Year 3 class, but would be suitable for a high ability Year 2 group.
This was completed as a carousel activity with children moving to each quest with a clipboard. The pictures and problems are fun and engaging.
