A revision lesson with an adaptable template, based around one core text, suitable for any Year group/ability to help prepare them for a writing assessment. The lesson is primarily based around one central resource, the writing deconstruction sheet and the PowerPoint is there to support. Students have to try and find all examples of connectives/intensifiers/adjectives, etc, in the central text.
I have used this with Year 7 & Year 8, all of varying abilities and the lesson has worked very well with all students engaged. When adapted this could be very useful for Year 11 as a feedback tool or a preparation tool for their own writing!
