Multiplication Concepts Review Task Cards with Coded Answer Document

If you are viewing this product, then you probably already know of the usefulness and versatility of task cards. They work great as a group activity, for independent centers, partner activities, and general review. Kids love them because they can move around and work at their own pace, too.

This task card set is unique because it has a coded answer document that allows you to check the student’s work very quickly. Kids love revealing the secret words, too. Students just use their answer to the task card to fill in a code letter on the answer document. When done, a 4 letter word answering the clue will be revealed.

This set of 32 task cards was designed to review 4th grade multiplication concepts:
•recognizing multiplication as an array or repeated addition
•identifying factors and multiples of numbers
•identifying prime and composite numbers

Common Core standards:
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.OA.A.1
Interpret a multiplication equation as a comparison, e.g., interpret 35 = 5 × 7 as a statement that 35 is 5 times as many as 7 and 7 times as many as 5. Represent verbal statements of multiplicative comparisons as multiplication equations.

CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.OA.A.2
Multiply or divide to solve word problems involving multiplicative comparison, e.g., by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem, distinguishing multiplicative comparison from additive comparison.
