A whole lesson I designed for an interview lesson for an year 5 independent school. A great visual way for introducing students into the topic of multiplying fractions. This lesson specifically focuses on multiplying proper fractions with whole numbers. The most engaging part of this lesson is the gifs used during the lesson, and the opportunity for students to really master the topic through the use of pictures. Slideshow is 35 slides long and includes a kinaestetic starter, a kinaestetic group activity, several examples, main worksheet, ‘pit stops’, timers, solutions, audio bites and a plenary.
