Murder Mystery Maths
A murder mystery maths problem solving lesson. Intended for use with a year 4 class but can be easily adapted.

Storyline is based on our English text 'The Tinder Box' which I have linked with Maths in this mystery. Again, this can be edited for your own purposes or storylines.

Answers are on the final slide.

You may wish to print each slide out in a pack for each table group. Each child on the table group must be assigned a role before being given a pack- this way everyone is on task and included within the group. Job roles: Manager-In charge of decisions. Reader- Reads the key parts to the group and individuals. Facilitator- Ensures everone has a go in turn. Resource Manager- In charge of providing relevent equipment and returning it.

You may wish to repeat job roles or add new job roles for larger groups.
