My Healthy Happy Life Activity Journal Level Four is a fifty eight page PDF practical guide, recommended for pupils in **Year 6. **

The journal builds on pupils’ prior knowledge from Level One, Two and Three by continuing to develop pupils mental, emotional and physical health and wellbeing. It is full of age and curriculum appropriate activities designed to empower pupils with the knowledge of how to live a healthy happy life. They are also a safe place for pupils to explore their thoughts and feelings and helps them understand where and how to find help and support if needed.

How to Use
The complete journal or individual pages can be printed to suit your schools need. It can be used with a whole class to help support the delivery of the health section of the RSHE curriculum or with small groups of children that require extra support developing healthy habits.

Chapter One – My Brain and Mind
This chapter pupils will learn about ways of taking care of their mind and brain. They are gradually introduced to mental health, hormones and how our body responds when we feel under pressure. They develop a greater understanding of the feelings of others, ways to manage change and how to work through their worries by becoming a problem solver.

Chapter Two – My Nutrition
In level four pupils discover the amazing power of food and what it can do for their body. Pupils reinforce their knowledge of reading food labels, making healthy choices and how their eating habits affect both their physical and mental health. Pupils are then given the opportunity to apply all this knowledge when creating a healthy eating plan.

Chapter Three – My Lifestyle
In this chapter pupils will work through activities that teach them about healthy, lifelong habits. Pupils continue to develop their knowledge on the importance of sleep, spending time outdoors and how being a part of a community contributes to them living a healthier, happier life.

Chapter Four – My Safety
Here pupils learn to recognise ways their bodies change and who to talk to if they have any concerns. They look at ways to keep safe with basic first aid, an understanding of immunisations, vaccinations, and the dangers of illegal substances.

Chapter Five – My Movement
Pupils learn an appreciation for their bodies, the importance of an active lifestyle and the risks of an inactive lifestyle. They review and plan ways to increase daily movement and weekly exercise. Pupils start preparing for Key Stage Three and develop knowledge about different types of fitness and how they are tested.
