I have created QUICK REVISION LESSONS IN UNDER 5 MINUTES on YouTube to recap on National 5 maths topics.

They are called NAT 5 IN 5.

I plan to have playlists for each National 5 units

The current playlist is for the EXPRESSIONS AND FORMULAE UNIT

These ‘Nat 5 in 5’ lessons will show worked examples of topics within the National 5 maths course. Each lesson aims to be less than 5 minutes long (hopefully). Keeping with the theme of ‘Nat 5 in 5’ there will be 5 homework questions to try at the end.(no answers will be provided – see your own teacher) NOT PROVIDING ANSWERS ON THE VIDEO ALLOWS TEACHERS TO GIVE THIS LINK AS PART OF A STUDENT’S HOMEWORK. THESE VIDEOS COULD ALSO BE USED AT THE BEGINNING OF A LESSON AS A STARTER. OR AT THE END AS A PLENARY.

I believe in ‘teaching for understanding’ but these lessons are quick revision lessons. I am assuming prior knowledge. There will NOT be approaches used for deep understanding. Please see other materials for longer lessons that explain topics in more detail.
