Nature of law including the difference between criminal and civil law

The presentation introduces the key principles and general elements of criminal law and will last approximately two hours. The presentation is best used alongside the AQA Law Year 1 textbook and has been designed to provide students with an understanding of the differences between law and norms of behaviour, the difference types of law i.e. custom, common and statute and an understanding of the similarities and differences between criminal and civil law. The topics considered are relevant to the ‘Nature of Law and the English Legal System’.
