Nonsense Poetry, Tongue Twisters and Riddles
I first got the children (Year 2) to have a go at reading and performing some nonsense poems, riddles and tongue twisters. We talked about alliteration in tongue twisters. Next lesson involved writing new endings to nursery rhymes, then moves onto noting the features of the different poems and preparing our own for presentation.
