This is a photo based powerpoint. It outlines interesting facts about the octopus and includes a bunch of linked sensory ideas. The slide show was successfully used with SLD and PMLD sensory learners in KS3 and KS4 as we explored a pirate topic sourced from PMLD units on the website:

We used the slide show over a few weeks and focused in on the pages that were most interesting to the student group.
We spent one week making ink jet pictures using syringes; be ready for a mess, but it was lots of fun. We spent another week exploring lots of different stretchy materials including some homemade slime :)
Check what resources you have; we also had squigz sucker toys that were great to use in these sessions.
Edit, adapt and extend the slide show; an octopus is also very slimy, but I haven’t included this as I couldn’t find a licence free photo to fit :)
