As this has been dropped from the new GCSE syllabus, we were really keen to take our younger students through the text. The resources have been adapted to suit this age group. We used it with Year 8 students in the Summer Term, however it could be used with Year 9. We used this scheme to support reading skills necessary for English Lit Paper 1/2- modern fiction.
I ran out of time in the 7-week term, so the last chapter is a little rushed.
There isn't an assessment attached to the end of it, however this could easily be added on.
