A detailed unit of work with a particular focus on application of themes and knowledge to wider texts and social contexts in relation to ‘Of Mice and Men’. This scheme is designed for a very able top set and focuses on linking the novel to current affairs and theory regarding the novel.
There is a large section of the work based on analysing the relationship between George and Lennie in detail whilst also evaluating the impact their friendship has on their individual and joint success. Curley’s wife is explored at length.
