A one-off lesson on iambic pentameter and sonnets. Suitable for Year 7 and 8 pupils. The lesson makes use of a great TED video on iambic pentameter in Shakespeare, then challenges children to identify the iambs in each word before asking them to write a spring stanza with a wordbank to help.

When observed teaching this lesson for a job interview I received excellent feedback on this lesson.
