As part of our rainforest South America topic our Year 5s went to Twycross Zoo. The day before I had my performance management observation. This is the lesson plan and resources in which I was grading 'outstanding' in every area - and the kids loved it! Lesson based around Literacy/Geography link looking at the Twycross Zoo website and using a range of Year 5/6 Literacy objectives to complete a group task and also a challenge reviewing a range of learning across Literacy. The lesson went really well and I would definitely do it again for an observation or if Ofsted came.
