This activity is a murder mystery and has the scope to be the basis of a unit of work if other tasks are added to develop skills such as writing newspaper articles, drama/speaking and listening and group work, etc. This also teaches the 'PEE/PEA' skills in a less prescriptive way; it is an engaging and interactive way of teaching how to respond to a text, taking the form of a murder mystery (the suspect being the point, evidence from the murder to be evidence and explaining why it's this suspect over anyone else to be the evaluation.) I have also created a website to give this mystery a sense of authenticity and the link to the site is included in the download.
