A creative and original way of getting students to write persuasively in the form of a letter. Students are asked to consider that they are writing a letter to persuade a travel agent to include their hotel in their brochure. The task uses the theme of space to try and hook the students. I took my students to a computer room to type it up. I found that it worked very well with boys.
