Plant Requirements - Year 3

In this KS2 science teaching resource pupils are taught the requirements of plants for life and growth as per the curriculum objective of the year 3 science programme of study (Plants).

Content includes:

• A link to an introductory video
• What plants need to stay healthy and grow (water, air, nutrients, sunlight and room to grow)
• A link to a photosynthesis explanatory video
• A look at how different plants have varying requirements
• Desert plants and how they survive
• Growing experiment and discussion of a fair experiment - accompanying worksheet
• Design a poster activity about plant requirements and care with worksheet

‘Plant Requirements’ can be edited, giving teachers the freedom to adapt the resource to suit each class they teach.
