Students are provided with differentiated questions on the five Power and Conflict poems they have studied so far: Poppies, Remains, War Photographer, Ozymandias and Kamikaze. Students use the lesson to research the backgrounds and contexts (AO3) of each poem in preparation for writing detailed GCSE-style exam answers. A perfect preparation lesson for KS4 students getting ready for AQA English Literature Paper 2 or suitable for KS3 students as well.
