Series of activities to enable students to understand common question words and instructions in French. This PowerPoint is aimed at a year 9/10 class who would be sitting the new French exams. I created this presentation understanding that a lot of students do not understand simple instructions on the new GCSE exam papers and therefore cannot address them.
Tasks:
Keywords with multi-choice answers. Show the correct answer. You can either print A,B,C,D and ask students to work in pairs or as a group.
Re-order the instructions with the help of the English translation. This task can be done on mini-whiteboards.
20 cards with questions need to be printed, laminated and cut. Then distribute to students who will need to find the matching English translation. An handout was created for student to match up. The answer sheet is also added to this resource
Plenary: Look at the photo and write two questions about it.
