This is a slightly unusual way of introducing the present tense. I got the idea from a visit to Gordano School near Bristol and thought it was fab so have tried it and it works really well. Basically they write the infinitive in the flower head, the stem goes in the stem (!) and each pronoun has a leaf of its own and the ending for the verb gets written in the leaf. The PP is animated so all the right bits appear in the right places so if you have a look it should make more sense! The hand out is what I chop up for the students to stick in their books. The picture is just so you can do what you want with it.
