Trying to save the world one class at a time!
First sequence of slides could be used in tutor time simply to inform students of current issues regarding the environment and plastic use. Lots of interactive activities and thought provoking stimuli including a number of video links to promote discussion of this issue. Once fired up, introduces PROJECT PLASTIC- a project for students to invent ways in which they can make a difference in their local area to reduce the use of non-recyclable plastic. Self managed with class team roles and forms to record progress and to aid reflection. Self assessment and progress tracker have been adapted from my " PROJECT PERFECT" resource for French.

Could be used as a whole school tutor challenge or just within classes or IBL projects.

Includes;

Lesson sequence material (current affairs/discussion/video)
Poster examples
Video links
Team role assignment- discussion of team work skills needed
Ideas for the project
Self assessment Questionnaires
Record sheet- Student progress tracker
