A puzzle on the properties of numbers, can be made as challenging as you like. The aim is to arrange the headings and numbers in a grid which works! Cut out all the numbers and/or headings and arrange!! I have provided a mixture of grids depending on how difficult you would like to make it. I have provided one solution (dont let students see it) but I am not sure if another arrangement will work. Will hopefully create some interesting observations (e.g. a number cannot be both odd and even).

This is a really nice problem solving activity on number types which also consolidates understanding of two way tables. Students have some headings in a two way table and they have to insert numbers so that they satisfy the headings (or you can do it the other way around). This would make a nice activity at any stage of the lesson and could be differentiated as explained in the description. This is especially useful with the new spec at KS4 since this is the type of problem solving question students are likely to see on the exam. Thank you for sharing.
