This was developed as a resource for a problem-solving and thinking skills course we do with year 9 at the start of the year but could be used for anyone really. We have AFRICA WEEK this week so it coincides. I was following up a surf on SUSTAINABILITY via PRACTICAL ACTION. This was from a news artical originally I think.</p> PLEASE SEE OTHER RESOURCES ALSO UPLOADED - 'PLAYPUMP POWERPOINT' AND MUSIC TO GO WITH THE ACTIVITY. Missing Link?. The pumping water title caught my eye as we are beginning a unit on sustainability, but when I red the lesson it refers to pictures the students viewed. Sadly they are missing. Any hope of adding?

models have been great. The kids have loved this modelling task. I showed them how to make paper tubes with recycled worksheets and pieces of steel rod or wooden dowl. It is not something we have done a great deal of but it has certainly revealed the talented Kids and creative or resourceful; ones. Even the less able enjoyed being gofers, cutting cellotape. A very painless lesson.
