This lesson is a double (in our college it lasts almost 2 hours) so it has a huge amount of content. You could easily split it up into 2 or 3 shorter lesson as suits.
It covers the three extreme positions in the spec - violent protest, terrorism and WMD.
I have included discussion, opportunities for note taking and activities. Please be aware I have included a 'terrorism bingo' task. This is in no way meant to cause any offence at all. This whole course contains some quite 'dark' topics so I have simply used a slightly more upbeat way of introducing the terrorist events that have happened so that they can use them as examples. Please do not use this PPT if you are likely to be offended - my students are used to my way of teaching and therefore it will be no problem, but the last thing that I would ever want to do would be to cause upset. The answers for the bingo are on the notes section of the slide.
I have also included a homework task which practices the Q3 contrasting question and the mark scheme from the specimen paper on the AQA website to help them with the trickiness of support of WMD.
