Phonics Phase 4 Reading Book - Nip Gets Wet
A lively story ideal for assessing the level of reading achieved in Phase 4. This reading book covers early graphemes in longer CV combination words. As well as the main text for each page, each illustration is followed by several captions and prompts, designed to aid discussion.
A print-out teacher copy of the text is also included, which can be used for recording assessment and highlights alignment to phase content.
This reading book is great to use individually with pupils to assess their Phase 4 skills.

I like the story and the way it can be used as a guided reading tool to generate discussion and an assessment tool for Phase 4 reading. I don't like the font it is in because the letters are not formed the way the children are taught so I had to copy and amend the font before using it.
