This 6 Lesson unit of study uses the film “Gattaca” to investigate Christian and Buddhist views on prejudice, sanctity of life and medical ethics. There is a teacher’s guide to show you what to focus on in each lesson and when to pause the film. There are various tasks to focus the students on the views of Buddhism and Christianity.

You will need a copy of the DVD.

The Unit includes an assessment opportunity, with a marking and RAG feedback sheet.

The final lesson is a debate between Christian and Buddhist views on this topic, which can also be seen as an alternative assessment.
