This piece is written and performed by Harry Wilson, 2011 winner of the youth performance poetry competition SLAMbassadors UK. It is a poem in praise of those who risk their lives to report from the front line, and focuses on the work of Egyptian war correspondent Gihan Ibrahim. It can be used to provoke discussions around history and war reporting, as well as a model for spoken word poetry writing. SLAMbassadors UK is the Poetry Society's annual spoken word competition for young people aged 12-18. More information via www.poetrysociety.org.uk
