These are a selection of resources for the AS and A-level OCR Film Studies specification for the Ideology section (Component 2 of the A-level specification). The films cited are The Babadook and A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night. To enable AS teachers to also use these resources I haven’t added in the third film:* Y Tu Mama Tambien*. The resources are designed as revision activities, either as stand alone lessons or as independent study activities. The resources include:
- An essay plan.
- A vocabulary activity to enable students to think more deeply about the concept of the outsider.
- Several worksheets to aid points of comparison
- Completed versions of these worksheets for the areas the students are struggling with.
