Distance Learning: This has everything for the distance learning experience. It has many parts:

a) presentation in powerpoint.

b) flash-discussion card packet for review, enhancement or to spur class discussion (virtual or real);

c) student searches to reinforce what was read; copy and paste results onto blank pages.

d) role playing situations, to be done in real world or in virtual world using video technology

This is a complete presentation about 3 DIMENSIONAL ART, both Sculpture and Installation Art. Historically this was a much easier subject to cover since artists were all working figuratively and with a small amount of materials. Bronze and marble covered a lot of sculpture back in the day. The definition of what sculpture is today comes down to answers like, “It’s 3 dimensional.” Or perhaps, “It’s not a photograph or a painting.” The person giving the answers is being very careful because there are so many art objects now included and he doesn’t want to look like an art newbie. Sculpture was invaded by other movements as well–profoundly by the Brits when it came to the Turner Prize, as it turns out. Conceptual Art and the Turner Prize became synonymous, which is why a dead shark in a vat of formaldehyde won it (Damien Hirst).
