Semi-colons and colons in persuasive writing

Targeted at mixed ability English Language KS4 pupils, this adaptable resource enables pupils to recognise the ways in which semi-colons and colons are placed in grammatically correct structures and consider how they can be used to improve their persuasive writing.

Aimed at promoting independent learners, the effects of semi-colons and colons are modeled then pupils practice using semi-colons and colons for effect in their own persuasive writing tasks.
