Simple Method of division up to 5
The divider is drawn as a vertical straight parallel lines, so 2 is two lines. Lines are then drawn across these lines, and the intersections counted, more lines drawn until the number of intersections equals the number being divided. The results is then the number of lines drawn, as simple as this, students just need to be able to count to divide. The ease of use of this method and it simplicity should help any student to do divisions and see where the result comes from.
