Running Dictation task used with year 9 to review work done so far on Holidays topic. The text was cut up into the 4 paragraphs and stuck up on the wall outside the room. The teams had a piece of paper and had 30s each to memorise as much as they could and return to the group to write up the text. That took about 15-20 mins. I then displayed the questions - they had to use the text they had got from the original task to work out the answers for the Reading Comprehension task. It involved Team Work and Memory Skills.
