This scheme is heavily based on applying words in sentences. Learning the spelling of HF words without using them in sentences is pointless. So, the scheme here is all about using HF words in reading and writing. It also ties up with the New Curriculum which outlines the expectation of using dictations in Literacy. Moreover, it will prepare the KS1 children to their spelling test within SATs.
