Standard Form - Notes, Examples and Exercises” introduces the use of standard form (or scientific notation) for very large or very small numbers. A section on using standard form on a calculator is included.

Display screens on calculators have improved over the years but entering numbers in standard form and interpretation of what is displayed on a screen can still cause many problems.
