A 7/8 lesson scheme of work that teaches basic storytelling skills (i.e. body language, facial and vocal expression, freeze frames, basic script-writing) to students. It is focused around students using autobigraphical stories to create a short drama performance - which means that it can also help students get to know one another better. (It is written for my incoming Year 7 students, as their first experience of Drama.)

There are 7 PowerPoints with accompanying notes in the Speaker’s Notes section where necessary.
The final PowerPoint (lesson 7) can be done in 1 or 2 lessons, depending on how much time you have.

Peer Evaluation and Self Reflection forms are called for in the scheme but not included in this bundle. All other worksheets and resources are provided. The documents entitled “Mood Activities” and “Vocal Activities” are descriptions of the vocal and mood activities mentioned in the lesson plans 4 and 5.

(Please note: My students are NOT native English speakers, so there may be more emphasis put on vocabulary than you need. Please adjust accordingly.)
