A KS3 / GCSE. computer with internet access is required for this set of five interlinked activities where students are introduced to the equation of a straight line. A structured investigation is followed by a bowling game where students are required to enter the correct equation in order to be able to bowl over the pins and get a strike. A really entertaining way to learn about gradient and y intercept.
A low ability KS3 lesson used for an observation on straight line graphs. Drawing graphs in one quadrant only. Pupils are given a substitution starter to complete to aid them with finding co-ordinates using substitution. Differentiated and level-ed worksheets made that match with the PPT. Please use and let me know what you think.
A worksheet asking students to plot straight line graphs and explain what they see. Made to develop students skills when answering QWC questions. Includes a key word bank. Please leave a comment if you use it and like it :-)

Create lessons in seconds with this HUGE PowerPoint of animated lesson activities.
There are HUNDREDS of templates that you can over-type in seconds to create engaging lesson material.
Highly praised by John Simpkin of Spartacus Educational and Mark Warner of Teaching Ideas.
I am very confident you will like this. If you do, please click on my profile to see my other popular resources. Thanks
(This file also has a bank of PowerPoint timers - it's the most useful planning tool ever!) The size of the file should show you how much stuff there is! Without sounding overly confident - it's the best resource out there!
NOTE: Following its success in the summer sale, I have decided to keep the sale price - so grab a bargain! Used to be £5. Many thanks.
This is a whole lesson looking at inverse functions, with two different techniques to tackle these questions, with key words, plenary etc...
Part of a three series teaching PowerPoints looking at functions at a KS4 level. These can be brought together in a bundle at a slight reduction.
Attached as well is a jigsaw activity that I use too!
NOTE: I have uploaded over 100 maths lessons/topics (10+ years of work/experience) so feel free to browse my shop. thanks.
This is a series of 3 lessons that I teach on functions - looking primarily at a KS4 level.
Attached as well are the worksheets that I currently use, but can be easily interchanged with your course companion.
